A learning place for Gaited Morgans

Walk/Running Walk

Walk

Hooves lift off and contact the ground at separate intervals. The beat is an even 1-2-3-4. Rider moves from front to rear and the horses actions do not seem active like in some of the other gaits.

Running Walk

Will appear like a faster walk. The hooves sit down in an even 1-2-3-4 beat. Again this gait moves the rider a little from front to rear, but there is no feel of up and down action of the rear of the horse.
